MOROCCO:YEAR OF CULTURE
A culture-filled night celebrating the diverse Moroccan culture.
Introductory Cultural Event for the post-summer season, the least to do was celebrating Morocco as the Year of Culture 2024 in Qatar.
A culture-filled night celebrating the wonderful & diverse culture of Morocco. Participants were immersed in the Moroccan culture, listening to an introductory presentation, tasting the famous Moroccan tea with mint along famous sweets. In addition, our sponsor presented a historical overview of the Moroccan Caftan. The big surprise was with the entrance of the Bridal Procession carried by 4 strong men in a ritual like march into the ballroom. Moroccan henna expert painted traditional designs of henna to the attendees. Finally, our Arabic calligrapher drew Moroccan idioms & participants’ names on re-usable bags that the guests also embellished with floral natural designs, emphasizing our campaign during Qatar Sustainability Week “from low to no Plastic Bags use”. This way, environmental sustainability married harmoniously with social & cultural sustainability.
