Reena Naser had the privilege of serving as a jury member for the final projects of HBKU’s Master of Public Policy program. This event showcased the culmination of months of hard work and dedication by the graduating class, who had conducted extensive research and developed innovative solutions to pressing policy challenges.
As a jury member, Reena had the opportunity to evaluate the students’ capstone projects alongside other esteemed field experts and policy practitioners. The students demonstrated their analytical abilities, creativity, and presentation skills as they presented their proposals, aiming to convince the jury of the feasibility and potential impact of their ideas.
For Reena, this experience was particularly rewarding, as it allowed her to reconnect with academia after nearly 13 years. She was inspired by the visionary ideas and passionate presentations of the next generation of policy leaders, who showcased their commitment to addressing complex social, economic, and environmental issues through well-crafted policies.
The event took place in the state-of-the-art facilities of M7 Workinton, a cutting-edge innovation hub located in the vibrant Msheireb district of Doha. This setting provided an ideal backdrop for the students to present their ideas, as it exemplified the intersection of creativity, collaboration, and forward-thinking that is essential for effective policymaking.
